Pledge to End Racism

Spring 2021 Registration

The Bay Center has joined together with the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Rappahannock to bring the Pledge to End Racism to the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula. The Pledge to End Racism is a training program that was started by the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Richmond, based on the Birmingham pledge. The program consists of two days of education and discussion on addressing racism. Participants learn together, challenge one another, and engage in real change. Moving from education to action, participants then commit to spread racial justice throughout our community.
If you would like to know more about the Pledge to End Racism program, please go to  (Note: While this talks about the program in the city of Richmond, the focus of our program is on the Northern Neck and the Middle Peninsula.)

We will meet at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Rappahannock from 10am to 4 pm both days. UUFR is located at 366 James Wharf Road in White Stone, VA. The classes will be outside, so please bring a chair, along with a face mask. The leaders will be Ruth Micklem and the Rev. Tyron Williams. They will be assisted by Judy Thomson and Tom Coye.
There is no charge for either the event or for lunch. However, donations to help offset expenses will be gratefully received.
